A cat hiding out in the heated mansion at Longwood Gardens. This little guy was friendly, walking up to visitors and even sitting on some lady’s lap when she sat down on a nearby bench.
“A Longwood Christmas”, Kennett Square, PA.
Inside the music room of Longwood Garden’s conservatory. “Music Room” is almost a misnomer as you could fit a small house inside of it.
The next few pictures will be featuring Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. This is the third time I have made it out there for their Christmas extravaganza, and it is well worth it.
Let’s kick off December with one of my favorite pictures that I’ve ever taken. This was inside a Christmas tree at Longwood Gardens.
This may be my favorite of all the pictures I’ve taken over the years. Inside a Christmas tree at Longwood Gardens. How cool is that?
“Like horseshit at a racetrack” you could say of us on this two and a half day getaway to my beloved Lancaster. And that’s exactly what it was: a getaway. I can hear the sirens now. After all, in times of stress, we find comfort in familiarity. I was not even concerned with blogging or…
“Photo of the Day” is back! Inside one of the greenhouses during last year’s Longwood Gardens’ production of “Nightscape”. This photo does not really do the beauty justice. August 2017.

Apparently, this is the fanciest table I’ve ever sat at, and for a Heineken no less. Then again, even the mere cafeteria at Longwood Gardens is nothing to sneeze at. You can get this bottle for $7, and have everything from a $20 prime rib to a small bottle of wine even more expensive than…
This is going to be a quick one. I don’t even have a picture of my own. Just a shout-out to Palm-a-Bagel, which is located in the shopping center across US 1 from the Hilton Garden Inn of Kennett Square. We ate there before heading to Longwood Gardens. Bagels were as good as you would find…
Below are some food and drink-related odds and ends which did not make it into my restaurant reviews from this past trip to Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Again, we went in August, so don’t be thrown off guard with mentions of how hot it was as I sit here posting this in 30 degree December weather.
