While New Jersey parks and beaches are inundated with thousands of visitors, it was nice to find some peace and tranquility with a not-so-early morning walk along the New Hope section of the Delaware & Raritan Canal. The towpath, which once hosted barges traveling up and down carrying goods, was central to the economy of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It is now a walking and biking path that stretches around 60 miles. There is also one across the river that runs through Lambertville which is equally picturesque.
