Ah, with the end of today, summer will be unofficially over. Then a new phase for us folks on the shore begins: “Local Summer”. This is what we refer to the still warm months of September and part of October as, when we can hit the beach without hordes of tourists. Pictured here is the secluded and usually empty Fishing Beach on Sandy Hook. We at ENJ hope everyone had a wonderful summer! And now my favorite season is ahead: fall!
