I Have Become What I’ve Mocked

This was the scene today for me: drinking a pumpkin spice latte at a Starbucks in a Barnes & Noble…while wearing a flannel, no less. Good Lord. I’ve made fun of such things at some points in my life. I discount the multi-grain bagel which was kind of blah, but I didn’t feel like quiche and God knows what a Starbucks cheesesteak tastes like.

I finally purchased a book I’ve been trying to read for years, The Devil Rides Out. I had to call and have it delivered. The movie is a personal favorite horror movie of mine starring Christopher Lee (as a good guy, ironically). It’s a pretty famous occult novel perfect for this time of year. I don’t read nearly enough anymore, and would like to bang it out by Halloween on Tuesday.

Sorry for what seems like an October silence. This is the busiest month of the year for me. I’ve had one full day off this entire month. You can follow my near-daily horror movie reviews over on my personal blog. If that’s not your thing, Photo of the Day will resume here in November and I have a few restaurant write-ups on backlog.
