I’m actually leaving for Connecticut tomorrow for a few days, so I wanted to share this shot of the Thomas Oyster Co. in historic Mystic Seaport from March of last year. We’ll be heading back there for another visit and a couple other places we went last time. However, we are adding a new stop: the Elephant Trunk Flea Market in New Milford on Sunday. It’s one of the biggest flea markets in New England (and why we are actually taking the trip out there). We were on the fence about where to actually stay, since we loved the Hilton Hartford last time. In the end, we decided on something different: the Hilton Garden Inn in Glastonbury. A chance to explore some place a little different, and it’s also the midway point between Mystic and New Milford.
This may be the last Photo of the Day for a few weeks as I concentrate on the blogging that has to be done from Connecticut (and also Pennsylvania where we are heading immediately after that). When I return home, I have a few days off before I start doing educational summer camps at Brookdale. I enjoy it very much, but it’s such a busy time. We’ll see how many posts I can squeeze in—I’m pretty good at multitasking.
