Photo of the Day: May 13, 2017

The iconic windmill of Dutch Haven, built in 1946. This was Lancaster County’s “first tourist attraction”. Perhaps that claim to fame was a result of being open on Sundays, which was a big no-no for a long time in the deeply religious area. I visit here every time. It’s just one of those places. Great shoo-fly pie and trinkets of all kinds. The interior sports some excellent vintage woodcut signs.
